My Work

I graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Creative Writing and French. During and since college, I have worked as a local beat newspaper reporter, was one of the founding members of the Florida Phoenix statewide political startup news site, have been and continue to be a freelance journalist, run a student journalism program, and am now on staff with the nonprofit Education Writers Association that supports journalists who cover education. Check out some of my work below.

Stack of Newspapers

In January 2020, I created a program that would turn into the Florida Student News Watch, funded in part by SPJ - Florida and nonprofit watchdog Florida Center for Government Accountability.

Typewriter

I am most passionate about eventually publishing fantasy novels, and also am at work on a memoir of life on a horse farm in North Florida. Read a bit about that over on the Fiction & Nonfiction page.

I was one of four founding members of the Florida Phoenix, a statewide political news startup site that continues to operate out of Tallahassee, Florida.
