In January 2020, I started a journalism mentorship effort that would turn into the Florida Student News Watch. Since then, I have secured funding from the Society of Professional Journalists - Florida chapter and the nonprofit watchdog group Florida Center for Government Accountability to cover the cost of paying student journalists for their work.
Students' works have been published on our site (button, left), by the Tallahassee Democrat, and by WFSU radio station, an NPR affiliate.
